The purple color of spirituality is a blend of strong reds and calming blues. Almost sounds like a storm, doesn’t it? In fact, the sky sometimes turns purple before a storm. You are most likely aware of purple and its association with royalty and prestige. This is also the color of the 7th Chakra which is the Crown Chakra or the Sahasrara.

In our childhood fairy tales, the sorcerer almost always wears purple. What’s more, many believe that purple helps us get in touch with our deepest thoughts.

The crown chakra is depicted as white, gold, violet, and the purple symbolic color. If your crown chakra suffers from blocks, you experience depression, alienation, and inability to learn. It causes strong urges to feel popular or an excessive need for sympathy. If knowledge about the seven chakras intrigues you, I invite you to continue reading to learn more.

Introduction to the 7th Chakra

People with a balanced 7th chakra are often highly intuitive and have a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of all things. They may also have a strong sense of empathy and compassion for others, as they recognize that we are all connected by the same universal energy.

When you release blockage of your crown chakra, it aligns you with the oneness of the universe. In so doing, it gives you confidence to move forward with your plans and dreams.

The crown chakra is at the top of the head where energy from your body moves up and out of your body. Also, many believe that this is the area where your body and spirit come together as the purest point of your existence.

In fact, the lotus symbolizes as the crown chakra. Hence, the name Sahasrara which interprets as “The Lotus with One Thousand Petals.”

To heal or unblock your 7th chakra, use the technique of meditation. Also, express gratitude for all that you are. Then, look outside yourself to help others and develop a spiritual connection with all that is around you.

As mentioned earlier, the 7th chakra is located at the top of the head and is the highest chakra in the body. It’s the final destination for the flow of energy through the chakra system. The chakra system begins at the root chakra, located at the base of the spine, and moves up through each chakra to the 7th chakra.

An imbalanced 7th chakra can manifest in several ways, including feelings of disconnection from the divine, a lack of purpose or direction in life, and difficulty making decisions. Physical symptoms of imbalance may include headaches, migraines, and dizziness.

To recognize if your 7th chakra is imbalanced, pay attention to your thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations. If you are feeling disconnected from the divine or struggling to find purpose in your life, it may be a sign of an imbalanced 7th chakra.

There are several techniques you can use to balance your 7th chakra. One effective way is through meditation. You can sit in a quiet place and focus on the top of your head, imagining a white or violet light flowing through your body and connecting you to the divine energy of the universe.

Yoga is another effective technique for balancing the chakras. Certain yoga poses, such as the headstand and the lotus pose, can help stimulate the 7th chakra and promote balance.

Meditative Music for the Crown Chakra

Meditative music is a wonderful way to balance the 7th chakra and is my favorite technique. Music that is in the key of B or has a frequency of 963 Hz stimulates the 7th chakra and promote spiritual growth.

Minerals and Crystals for the 7th Chakra

A variety of gemstones represent the purple symbolic color of spirituality. My personal favorite is Amethyst. The purple Amethyst is a type of quartz with wonderful healing properties. First, Amethyst provides powerful protection against psychic attack.

As a result, it turns the negative energy into love and gives protection from negative energy. It also relieves stress, soothes irritability and mood swings. In addition, Amethyst helps ease compulsive behaviors remarkably.

Big chunks of crystal rocks are not always easy to carry around with us. So, try something simpler such as a necklace or a bracelet that you wear for lovely, elegant healing on the go!

Of course, there is a wide variety of minerals and crystals from which to choose for balancing the 7th chakra, including amethyst, clear quartz, and selenite. These stones are believed to promote spiritual growth, clarity, and connection to the divine energy. Below you will find a more in depth chart of minerals and crystals to use in balancing the crown chakra.

The Essential Oils for the Crown Chakra

There are many varieties of essential oil that goes well with and enhances the spiritual experience of purple but my favorite is Lavender Essential Oil. Nothing calms or puts me into a meditative state faster than when I have my diffuser going with a touch of lavender essential oil.

Lavender essential oil is only from the flowers of the plant, however, this process harnesses the most potent and pure aromas from the petals. Use lavender as a scent for soaps, lotions, and cosmetics. You will recognize it by its alluring earthy scent with a subtly spicy undertone. In our modern world, many use Lavender is in use for homeopathic remedies and aromatherapy.

Other essential oils that work wonderfully in balancing the crown chakra are those that are used in meditation and quietening the mind such as rose, neroli, frankincense, sandalwood, jasmine, patchouli, and ylang-ylang.

Additional Healing Accessories to Consider for Balancing the 7th Chakra

Other healing accessories that can be helpful in balancing the 7th chakra include incense, candles, and spiritual artwork. These items can help create a peaceful and spiritual environment, promoting a sense of connection to the divine energy.
